And of course, the Embrun body of water which adjoins the Serre-Ponçon lake, is also home to a rich fish fauna: rainbow trout, roach, perch, carp, bleak, gudgeon, pike, eel and even Black Bass since 2014. Our campsite also has direct access to Lake Curbans where fishing is allowed.
River fishing around Serre-Ponçon
It is also possible to fish in the many rivers located around Serre-Ponçon, especially since the Hautes-Alpes benefit from a specific regime with regard to the opening dates of river fishing. All the rivers that feed the Serre-Ponçon lake belong to the first category. But, unlike most departments, river fishing in the Hautes-Alpes is authorized from the beginning of March until the first Sunday of October, and not until mid-September as elsewhere.
