Camping du Lac enjoys a privileged location on the shores of Lake Curbans, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, and includes many facilities to spice up the holidays of our residents. A set of services that we want to share with as many people as possible. This is why we have adapted our services in order to welcome people with disabilities and in particular people with reduced mobility. This desire is also the testimony of the spirit of openness and sharing that permeates our region and which is particularly evident at the Serre-Ponçon lake, a site with the Tourism and Handicap label!

A tourist destination welcoming everyone
Serre-Ponçon is a destination labeled Tourism and Handicap. This recognition attests to the efforts made by tourism stakeholders to make the facilities and the various sites accessible to as many people as possible, and in particular to people with reduced mobility. Beyond the "labelled" activities, the territory of Serre-Ponçon is rich in local curiosities, crafts and culture.
The Tourist Office website even makes it possible to quickly find all the activities and all the equipment fitted out for people in wheelchairs, whether they are autonomous or assisted.

The Club therefore welcomes people with reduced mobility but also people with a hearing impairment. The lake pontoon is also suitable for handi-fishing. Recently, the Club opened a second site on the Capitainerie beach in Savines-le-Lac where mini-cruises also accessible to people with reduced mobility are organized on the lake. La Perle Noire at Saint-Vincent-les-Forts beach also offers boat trips on the lake, like many other providers on the banks of Serre-Ponçon. Some suggestions for visits around Serre-Ponçon
As a territory with the Tourism and Handicap label, many sites and visits are adapted for people with reduced mobility and other disabilities. Thus, the abbey of Boscodon in Crots welcomes all types of people with disabilities with services and documentary materials adapted to each of them. This is also the case of the Serre-Ponçon Animal Park in Sauze-du-Lac or the Muséoscope du Lac in Rousset dedicated to the dam and its history.
Access to certain sites in the heart of nature has also been arranged for the circulation of persons with reduced mobility. The ecotourism trail that runs through the Liou to Baratier has thus been made accessible to them, which allows them to observe the particular fauna and flora of this marshy area.
The trail and the site of the Salle de bal des Demoiselles Coiffées in Théus, not to be confused with the Demoiselles Coiffées de Pontis, are also suitable for wheelchair users. The opportunity to admire these geological curiosities formed by erosion, a sort of rock chimneys overhung by a hat, which are among the most popular sites for holidaymakers.
This page lists only a small part of the possible activities and visits for people with reduced mobility. The Camping du Lac team can of course provide you with information on other ideas for outings around the Serre-Ponçon lake.
