Activities and Discoveries Around Lake Serre-Ponçon

Camping du Lac is the ideal starting point to explore the wonders of Lake Serre-Ponçon and its surroundings.

Whether it's for hiking or mountain biking, or for visiting iconic sites such as the Serre-Ponçon Dam and the Chanteloube Viaduct, our location ensures easy access to a multitude of activities.

The neighboring towns, such as Embrun, Chorges, and Savines-Le-Lac, also offer a wide range of water activities, historical sites, and cultural discoveries.

The dam, overlooking the lake, offers an unbeatable panoramic view of Lake Serre-Ponçon.

A bit of history: this is an artificial lake created in 1961 by the construction of a dam on the Durance River, which ultimately helped regulate the many floods of this capricious river. Additionally, part of the lake, upstream of the dam, is located in the southern part of the Écrins National Park.

A Water Park for All Ages

Our water park, with its two heated pools, two playful paddling pools for children, and giant water slides, is the beating heart of our campsite.

For those seeking tranquility, our 17-place spa promises relaxation and well-being.

Every facility has been designed to offer comfort and fun to all our visitors, in a beautiful setting with views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
